Tennis

What we offer

At Thomas Telford School our girl’s tennis programme provides the opportunity to train after School and enter the LTA Schools tennis competitions. It is a popular and successful sport, and teams have gone on to represent the School in the Regional finals. Training runs on a weekly basis in the Summer term and students work on their technical and tactical ability. Ahead of key fixtures we take the tennis teams down to the Telford indoor tennis centre to allow the students to experience the highest standards of facilities. Whilst here we use specialist tennis coaches from the centre to improve their game even further.

This year again the U15 girls have won the Shropshire Division and are awaiting the next round of the knockout stage in September. The U13 have won the Shropshire Division 2 and are waiting on the regional finals at Loughborough University in the Autumn term
