Beyond the Classroom
About our Careers Department
At Thomas Telford School, our Careers Department is committed to providing a stable, high-quality programme of careers education, information, advice and guidance for every student. Our aim is to equip young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to make informed and ambitious decisions about their future education, training and employment.
In line with the Gatsby Benchmarks of Good Career Guidance, all students benefit from a planned, progressive careers programme that offers meaningful encounters with employers, further and higher education providers, and experiences of the workplace. By developing curiosity, ambition and resilience, we help students to explore their strengths and plan a successful path towards adulthood and working life.
Our Careers provision is led by Mrs Flynn, Deputy Head and Careers Lead, who oversees the delivery and quality of guidance across the School. She can be contacted via phone on 01952 200000 or by email at JFlynn@ttsonline.net
Our Careers, Advice and Guidance and Provider Access Policies are available in the ‘School Policies & Documents’ section of the School website. Our link Governor for Careers is Esther Williams who can be contacted via the School at info@ttsonline.net
