Students Look Forward to a Positive Future

Tue, 31 Aug 2021

A level and BTEC results day always brings a mixture of emotions for students eagerly looking forward to confirming university places and finding apprenticeships. This year, we were delighted to see 75% of the year 13 cohort progress to university, including 2 students who achieved their offers from Oxford university and 6 students who are moving on to study medicine. A further 2 students secured places on the veterinary gateway course at the Royal Veterinary College, which is the world’s leading vet school.

Mrs Flynn, our Director of Careers, was particularly pleased with the large number of students who gained places on higher and degree apprenticeship programmes with employers such as Capgemini, DHL, West Mercia Police, RBSL Rheinmetall, Mondelez, Wsp and Grant Thornton, despite all the challenges of the lockdown period. Mrs Flynn said:

“We are incredibly proud of the students who have secured prestigious degree and higher apprenticeship offers. These students in particular have shown outstanding resilience and determination over the past 18 months, seeking out opportunities and performing brilliantly in some challenging and highly competitive recruitment and selection processes. We wish all our 6.2 students every success in the future.”
