Football Development Tour to Villarreal

During Easter Holidays 83 Year 8 and 9 students had the privilege of attending a Football development tour to Villarreal CF Spain. The students stayed in 4* accommodation in the town of Bennicism, which is situated just 15 minutes away from the industrial town of Villarreal.

The tour provided an opportunity for students to bond as a team and enabled them to gain invaluable experience of a foreign culture, with their way of living and football development methods at the forefront of the experience.

Students played two games against local Spanish opposition and trained with the Villarreal coaches at the first team and academy training grounds. They also received coaching from staff at TTS which was specific to the positions they play.

They attended a La Liga match between Villarreal and Getafe, in which the home side won 2-0. They also had a full behind the scenes stadium tour of the El Madrigal Stadium (Villarreal’s home ground).
