During the Easter break 2016, 64 members of the Thomas Telford Concert Band and Choir enjoyed a fantastic five day tour to Paris. Staying at a plush campus outside the city, the musicians and singers gave two enthusiastic performances, in a large Retirement Village and on the main Videopolis stage at Disneyland Paris, before enjoying the rest of the day in the park.
Between the performing sessions, the group enjoyed the usual fantastic Parisian sights, including a visit to the Eiffel Tower, a rather soggy boat ride on the River Seine and a fun evening at the local bowling alley. The Choir even managed to entertain passengers and police at the docks in Calais and on the ferry on the way back with impromptu performances.
The group were a credit to Thomas Telford School and did the Performing Arts department proud!
