Sixth Form
The Sixth Form at Thomas Telford School offers a wide range of courses and flexible programmes including traditional A Levels and vocational subjects. There is something to suit everyone and support is provided throughout the application process to ensure that students choose the correct courses to maximise their success.
If successful in your application, an induction day will be organised shortly after GCSE examinations are complete, Monday 22 June 2026.
Applications to the Sixth Form 2026
To apply, please complete and send the following documents:
- Application Form
- A copy of your latest school report, (this should be the full Year 10 report and any Year 11 reports that you have received so far)
- A record of your attendance during the last academic year

or hand delivered to the School. Please do not email applications.
Please note that we also offer Business, Performing Arts and Sports Academies, these are triple awards worth three A Levels. Students should submit separate applications for an Academy.
On receipt of your application, we will contact your current school for a confidential reference. Offers will be made on an ongoing basis when we have received all the documentation. All offers will be conditional on you achieving the minimum entry requirements for your chosen courses.
The Induction Day for successful students will be on Monday 22 June. If you are unsuccessful you will remain on our reserve list, and we may be able to make a late offer to you.

Current students at Thomas Telford School wishing to progress to Sixth Form will follow a different application process and do not need to complete the external application form on this page.
