Careers Adviser
Term Time only plus 4 weeks
Salary circa £28,000 – £33,000 pro rata, depending on experience
Thomas Telford School is seeking a motivated Careers Adviser to join our dynamic Careers Team. This is an exciting opportunity to support students in their career pathways, from higher education to employment, in a well-resourced and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support the delivery of the Careers and Employability programme
· Interview students and support career planning
· Advise on and process higher education applications
· Coordinate work experience and careers events
· Build industry links and support ‘Careers Weeks’
· Provide administrative support for the Careers Department
The Ideal Candidate:
· Experience working with young people in an advisory role (desirable)
· Strong communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Knowledge of career pathways (training can be provided)
· A Level 6 careers qualification is desirable but not essential

As part of the growth of the School, we are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Mathematics to join our highly effective team. Teacher of Technology
Technology Teacher

A committed, enthusiastic professional is sought to join this successful team. Candidates with a degree in Product Design, Manufacturing, Graphics or Engineering are particularly welcome.
Applicants will require a working knowledge of the National Curriculum, have Information Technology skills and should have expertise in workshop skills and Product Design. We place an emphasis on quality making and workshop skills are essential. An expertise in ICT including the use of CAD/CAM is also required. All teaching rooms and workshops are fitted with an interactive whiteboard. We teach AQA GCSE Design Technology and A-level, Product Design. Facilities continue to be developed to meet the demands of the modern curriculum. The successful candidate will teach to GCSE Design Technology and A-level Product Design teaching will also be possible.

Teacher of Business

Due to expansion in the department, we are currently seeking to recruit a Teacher of Business to join our highly effective team. Business is a popular and highly regarded subject within Thomas Telford school both at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The successful candidate will be able to teach Business GCSE and A Level as well as vocational subjects.
We provide for a large Sixth Form of 600 students with very high levels of participation in the courses that we provide. Our aim is to make our Business Academy the pre-eminent provider of Business, Economics and Finance related courses in the region with career progression and CPD always under consideration for our team members.
