Cleaner

Monday to Friday
30 hours per week over the following shifts:
5.00am – 8.00am
6.00am – 9.00am
3.00pm – 9.00pm

(Please note, this is not a term time only position)

We are seeking to appoint a reliable Cleaner with an ability to work with others in a team. Duties include the general cleaning of classrooms and communal areas around the School. 

The post holder is expected to work to a high standard and they must understand the importance of infection control in a school setting.

Thomas Telford School is seeking a reliable and proactive Part Time Site Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of our school premises during the evening hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Thomas Telford School is seeking a reliable and proactive Part Time Site Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of our school premises during the evening hours.

Key Responsibilities:
– Locking up and securing the school site at the end of the day
– Moving and handling deliveries around the school
– Setting up exam desks and other furniture as required
-Reporting maintenance issues promptly
-Carrying out general maintenance tasks to keep the site safe and functional

What We’re Looking For:
-A responsible individual with good attention to detail
-Ability to work independently and remain vigilant when the school is empty
-Basic understanding of safeguarding in a school environment
-Experience in caretaking, security, or maintenance roles is desirable but not essential
-Comfortable handling keys and managing access securely

This role requires someone who can work evenings and handle tasks that involve physical activity, such as moving deliveries and setting up furniture. Training will be provided on school security procedures and safeguarding requirements.

Senior Deputy Head

This 11-18 City Technology College with an enrolment of 1657 students is seeking to appoint a Senior Deputy Headteacher to support the strategic leadership of the School. Sixteen Deputy Heads have progressed to Headship in the last fifteen years.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to serve on the Senior Management Team of one of the top performing schools in the country. The facilities are extensive and maintained at an exceptional level.

The successful candidate will have relevant senior experience and qualifications in secondary education, along with a track record of raising achievement and an ability to lead professional staff who are dedicated to meeting the academic and pastoral needs of students. As Senior Deputy Headteacher, they will play a key strategic role in whole-school leadership, deputising for the Headmaster when required and contributing to the long-term direction and continued success of the School.

Teacher of Business

Existing teachers and new entrants to the profession are welcome to apply

Due to expansion in the department, we are currently seeking to recruit a Teacher of Business to join our highly effective team. Business is a popular and highly regarded subject within Thomas Telford school both at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The successful candidate will be able to teach Business GCSE and A Level as well as vocational subjects.

We provide for a large Sixth Form of 600 students with very high levels of participation in the courses that we provide. Our aim is to make our Business Academy the pre-eminent provider of Business, Economics and Finance related courses in the region with career progression and CPD always under consideration for our team members.
