Thomas Telford School Choir at the Birmingham Symphony Hall

On Wednesday 6 July, Thomas Telford School Choir gave an electrifying performance on the main stage at the Birmingham Symphony Hall at the Music For Youth National Festival. The programme consisted of the 80s rock classic ‘Africa’ and our own arrangement of Elbow’s anthemic ‘One Day Like This’. The feedback from the audience and judges included such praising comments as “What a total blast! Congratulations!” and “We loved the build that each chorus had and the rhythm was tight and compelling.” “Your sound is beautifully blended, flexible and expressive.”

The Choir now await news of whether they are invited further to sing at the Schools Prom in London in the Autumn.

Congratulations to our Choir, we are extremely proud of their tremendous performance and hope they are successful in securing a place at the Schools Prom later this year.
