The Governing Board of the Lead School

Teacher helping studentsThe Governing Board of the Lead School (Thomas Telford School) will ultimately take responsibility for the financial management and be accountable to the Department of Education and Skills.

Course Management Group

The Course Management Group meets on two occasions in each academic year at the Lead School.

The Course Management Group includes:

Headteachers, or their representatives, of all the Partner Schools
Representative of the University of Surrey Roehampton
Director of Teacher Training
Assistant Director of Teacher Training
Student representatives from each subject area
Representative(s) from industry

The Management Group has responsibility for:

Monitoring all aspects of the Course
Strategic planning
Reporting progress to the Lead School Governing Board
Setting an Appeals Sub-Committee for student disciplinary issues. This Committee should be chaired by a Headteacher of a Consortium School, who has not been in contact with the student.
