New apprentices to the Guild of Mercers' Scholars

Mon, 27 Jan 2020

Congratulations to 6.2 students Natasha Bowater and Ben Foster who were admitted to the Guild of Mercers’ Scholars last week as apprentices. They have been matched to Apprentice Masters, Patricia Snook, who is a project management director at WISP Global and Alexander Heylin, a barrister with No. 5 Chambers, who can offer a wealth of advice and guidance to the students as they progress through university and into employment.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, Natasha and Ben have the opportunity to become Freemen of the City Of London and full members of the Guild. This membership will be invaluable to them as they progress through their careers, providing networking opportunities and access to educational activities and events. The ceremony last week took place at the magnificent Guildhall in the City of London and was attended by Natasha and Ben’s parents and Mrs Flynn, from the Careers Department.
