6.1 Visit to Keele Medical School

Fri, 10 Mar 2017

A group of budding medics from 6.1 took part in a Medical Careers Day at Keele University on Wednesday 8th March. Students heard about both the challenges and rewards of a medical career from junior doctors, a gastroenterologist and a GP and they took part in a range of lab workshops and sessions in the anatomy resources rooms.

Students also learnt about the range of teaching methods used at different medical schools and had the opportunity to grill university Admission Tutors about entry requirements and interviews for medicine degrees.

All in all, the day really helped our budding medics to prepare themselves for the medical school application process and gave them some inspiration for the career journey ahead of them.
