Students at this School take their SATs at the end of Year 8 rather than the end of Year 9.  The Government’s target is for 46% of Year 9 students to achieve Level 6 or higher by 2008.  In 2006, 64% of our Year 8 students achieved this target.  The full results for 2006 are:

GCSE Results

Over the past seven years all of our students have achieved the Government’s target of 5+ A*-C passes.  In 2006, we reached our target which was to achieve 100% in 10 or more A*-C passes. Our overall A*-A grades also improved from 29% in 2005 to 39% in 2006.  For the first time in 2006, the Government published figures for 5+ A*-C passes including Mathematics and English.

Sixth Form GCE/VCE Results

The School’s target is to exceed the Local and National Averages and this has regularly been achieved.  The Government has changed the way in which advanced level points scores are reported.  To put this into context, the average points score per student of 983 reported below is the equivalent of 405 UCAS points or slightly more than four Grade B passes at A Level.

Attendance Statistics

The School has a target of an overall average attendance which exceeds National and Local Averages.  This target has been exceeded on a regular basis.  The target for unauthorised absences is 0%
