Advice to Students
If you are unable to attend School on the day of an examination, inform Mr Williams, the Examinations Officer.
Always be punctual for an examination, leave nothing to chance.
Be prepared with a pen (a spare), pencil, ruler and eraser. You may also find it useful to have a compass, set square, protractor and coloured pencils. A clear, plastic pencil case or bag must be used to carry these.
You are allowed to use a calculator, unless otherwise instructed.
If you require anything during the examination, then raise your hand and an Invigilator will come to your assistance.
If you finish before the end of the examination, check your work and improve it where you can.
If you require medication during an examination, inform the Nurse beforehand so that she can make arrangements for you.
Books, folders, mobile phones, MP3 players, i-pods and notes are not allowed in the examination room.
Once the examination has started you are not allowed to turn around or communicate with any other student.
During the examination you are not allowed to leave the examination room unless it is an emergency.
