Thomas Telford School Online is the country's leading provider of a complete set of online course materials to cover Edexcel's Vocational ICT courses.

The DiDA course is designed as a flexible replacement to the GNVQ, with a value of between 1, 2 or 4 GCSE's, dependent upon the units taken.

    Using ICT

    When completed on it's own, this results in a student achieving an Award in Digital Applications (AIDA), worth one GCSE (this unit is mandatory before completing D202, D203 or D204)

    When completed alongside D201, this results in the student achieving a Certificate in Digital Applications (CIDA), worth two GCSE's.

    When completed alongside D201, this results in the student achieving a Certificate in Digital Applications (CIDA), worth two GCSE's.

    D204

    ICT and Enterprise

    When completed alongside all three of the above units, this results in the student achieving the Diploma in Digital Applications (DIDA), worth four GCSE's.

    Q - When can my school begin this award?
    A - The DiDA Course was accredited for schools to start teaching from September 2006.

    Q - How do I join?
    A - Seminars to view the new interactive course will be held throughout 2006/2007. For more details visit the Seminar and Training page

    Q - How much time per week will the new diploma take?
    A - Edexcel recommend that 90 guided learning hours are provided for each unit.

    Q - What are the costs?
    A - Thomas Telford School intends to maintain it's annual Licence Fee of £3000, in order to subscribe to the DIDA Online Course.

    Q - What training is available?
    A - Thomas Telford School will continue to work in close partnership with Edexcel to ensure that subscribing schools are properly trained for this new course. An entertainment of four training days over two years, at Thomas Telford School, together with 24-hour email response support, in included in the subscription fee.

    Please note that schools, which already subscribe to the GNQV course and wish to begin the DIDA course, will only be charged one single fee of £3000 in their transfer year.
