Thomas Telford Edges Nearer to the 100%.  Best Results Ever! Congratulations to all students, From Headmaster, Staff and Governors. Several records broken yet again.  Brilliant Performance - Very well done. Thomas Telford School came very close to securing 100% using the Government benchmark of five or more A*-C GCSEs including English and Mathematics.  99.4% of the year group achieved a remarkable 12 GCSEs or more at these higher grades including Maths and English.  This should place the School once more at the top end of performance nationally following its top comprehensive school placement last year.

Sir Kevin Satchwell, Headmaster, commented:  “I am delighted with the performance of these students who come from the full range of ability.  They have worked incredibly hard and fully deserve their achievements.  The staff should also receive recognition for their skill and determination to support every student to achieve their best.” Thomas Telford School was established as a specialist school in Science and Technology and again secured 100% pass rate at the higher grades for every student in Year 11. There were some remarkable individual performances including one student who achieved 15 A* Grades.  Five others each achieved between 12 and 14 of these top grades.
